Wilms’ Tumor Virtual Forum

We’re proud to share that on April 30, 2026, experts from across the U.S. came together to present on Wilms’ Tumor in a truly special, first-of-its-kind virtual gathering. This inaugural event created a rare opportunity to be “in the same room” with leading Wilms’ Tumor specialists from around the country—and the response from the community was incredible, with over 100 attendees joining us.

In partnership with the Kidney Cancer Association (KCA), Elevate Childhood Cancer successfully hosted the first-ever Wilms Tumor Virtual Forum: Connecting Families and Experts. The national symposium brought together families, survivors, clinicians, researchers, and advocates for a full day of education, connection, and shared learning. Kim Frederking served as both a moderator and a powerful parent advocate, helping guide meaningful conversations during the clinical trails and relapse portion of the symposium.

Topics included:

  • Diagnosis & Treatment
  • Finding Reliable Information
  • Genetic Predisposition Screening
  • Clinical Trials & Relapse
  • Thriving in Survivorship
  • Hope & Progress in Research
  • Community Perspectives

The program was thoughtfully shaped by advocacy-led insights, family survey data, and outcomes from the Pediatric Renal Tumor Roundtable in Denver—making it a meaningful opportunity to learn, connect, and help move the Wilms tumor community forward together.

Recordings of the sessions are available in June 2026 for those who were unable to attend live or would like to revisit the discussions: https://www.elevatechildhoodcancer.org/wilms

Community Breakout Discussions
While the main sessions focused on pediatric renal tumors, breakout conversations welcomed families and supporters across all pediatric cancer diagnoses. Each session included both expert and advocate voices and created space for open, supportive dialogue. To preserve that openness, these breakout sessions were not recorded.

For those in the pediatric cancer community, this event marked an important step forward—bringing people together, elevating shared knowledge, and strengthening connections across the Wilms’ Tumor community. Thank you to Elevate Childhood Cancer and KCA for hosting. A big thank you to the Morgan Adams Foundation and the Comer Family for their support. #ElevateChildhoodCancer #KidneyCancerAssociation #MorganAdamsFoundation
